· All contracts awarded will be contingent upon E-rate funding and final board approval. The applicant may choose to do all or part of the project upon funding notification.
· All contracts awarded under this IFCB bidding process may be voluntarily renewed by the applicant, upon written notice to the provider, for five consecutive one year terms. Please include this language in your final contract.
· All applicable fees, surcharges, and taxes must be identified on the bid. E-rate rules require the applicants to evaluate the price of eligible goods and services that will be listed on the 471 application during the competitive bidding process. Magellan International School is seeking bids to provide core networking for two new 2-story buildings recently purchased in the Austin, TX area. The school has an enrollment of 530 students PreK-8th grade and intends to grow to accommodate an upper school. The buildings are on the same site and connected via fiber. The school desires to create a relationship with a provider that can procure, install, configure, test, and support the core network long-term. This will be a new network from the ground up and will support both operational and educational needs, so an importance will be placed on reliable, modern equipment to support the school’s growth in the coming years.
The district will require a turnkey solution with installation, configuration, and testing for all equipment in this bid. The school will provide VLAN and IP ranges. Firewall will serve as DHCP and DNS provider. AP’s to be hung on drop ceiling grid using cabling already in place and labeled (labeling scheme to be provided). Bids should include 3-year licenses for all equipment requiring a license. Redundant firewalls should be licensed appropriately for failover and Advanced Security (including internet content filtering).
